4 Islands MTB Stage race. Каквооо? Къде? Кога? Ихааааа!!!!
Тъкмо когато си мислех, че съм намерил първото си голямо приключение за 2015 г. в лицето на Terra Magica от 12 до 16 май, имах късмета да открия тази нова надпревара през месец април (благодаря на Вероника, която е най-добрата търсачка на състезания в интернет!).
Очевидно това ще е ново състезание в Хърватия, което ще се проведе на островите Krk, Rab, Cres и Losini. „Ново“ обаче съвсем не означава, че организаторите са новаци, не – те вече са се доказали с огромен успех при организирането на МТБ маратона Plitvice, така че определено знаят с какво се захващат! Новото им събитие ще е 4-дневен маратон за отбори по двама и както вече стана ясно, всеки от дните ще стартираме на нов остров. Така че освен състезание, това ще е и чудесен начин да разучим тези нови места за каране. Вярно, че това понякога е свързано с доста усилия и умора, но организаторите предлагат различни опции за настаняване, включително и на луксозни лодки, така че всеки може да избере по-лек или по-тежък живот извън състезателните часове. Иначе казано, мисля, че за всеки тип участник ще има по нещо…
Изглежда, че 2015 ще предложи доста нови предизвикателства и това определено внася светлина в тъмните зимни дни. Макар да съм наполовина болен, отново се усмихвам и гледам с нетърпение как снегът бавно се топи. Време е за тренировки, пролетта е зад ъгъла, а предизвикателствата се приближават с всяка минута!

4 days, 4 islands. Trails which passing right by the sea and through the places older than a thousand years, trails which climbs the peaks offering a spectacular view of the Kvarner bay. Isn’t it a most beautiful way to enjoy the beauty of the Kvarner archipelago?
Adria Bike Four Islands is a team MTB stage race with 4 stages on 4 Kvarner islands: Krk, Rab, Cres and Lošinj. This unique race in the world of mountain biking will be held from 15th Apr-18th April, and it welcomes all competitors older than 18 years. During the race, participants will make approximately 270 km and they will pass through the most beautiful locations on these islands. Also, they will experience such diversity of the terrain, sharp and steep climbs.
The race is intended for all outdoor enthusiasts as well as athletes which will be divided into teams of two participants, in four categories: men under 45 years, men older than 45 years, women and mix (1 man + 1 woman). During the first day of the race, the competitors can expect 72 km long routes on the island Krk. The second day is scheduled for the island of Rab and the 65 km long route. The trails on the island Cres, with a total length of 70 km are planned for the third day of the race, while the trails of the island of Lošinj, with a total distance of 57 km are planned for the last day.
Competitors can choose between three different packages, which cost depends of the application date. For registrations received till 15th January, the total cost will be 999,00 HRK (apx. 130 EUR) per person, for registrations received between 16th January and 29th March the total cost will be 1 200,00 HRK (apx. 158 EUR) per person, while registations received from 30th March till 8th April will cost 1.500,00 HRK (apx. 197 EUR) per person. There would be packages for supporters with a price of 500,00 HRK (65 EUR) per person which includes benefits as package for competitors – except the start.
The total prize fund is 42 500,00 HRK ( apx 5.600 EUR) and it will be distributed between the previously mentioned categories.
